Mona Lisa Labuan Bajo liveaboard

Mona Lisa is permanently stationed in the Komodo national park so you can fly into and out of Labuan Bajo any day that suits you. A four to seven day cruise is ideal but if you can only do a short duration Komodo liveaboard, Mona Lisa will suit you.

SV Mona Lisa is a traditionally styles “phinisi” built in 1996 as a sail and dive vessel for 12 guests. Mona Lisa caters to divers, snorkelers or those who just was to cruise Komodo.

The flexible itinerary allows you to do up to 5 dives in a day or snorkeling and island excursions.

Mona Lisa cabins

There are 6 cabins in both double bed or twin bed configuration. All cabins have air conditioning and private bathrooms with hot water shower.

Solo travelers can share a twin cabin with another guest to avoid paying a single supplement.

The main deck saloon is where meals are served. Food is to international standards with the emphasis being on local dishes, especially locally caught seafood.

Also on the main deck is a bar serving alcoholic drinks, a media centre and a books library.

All internationally required safety equipment is on board. The nearest recompression chamber to Labuan Bajo is Bali and air evaquation can be arranged if required.

Dive and travel insurance is mandatory on Mona Lisa cruises.

Mona Lisa schedule and prices

Fly from Bali to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) and join Mona Lisa any day you like. You will be collected at the airport and transferred by car and speedboat to Mona Lisa. Total journey time is about 90 minutes.

Price per diver: US$ 320 per person per night

Price per non diver: US$ 270 per person per night

NOTE: + 10% surcharge during Oct, Nov and 15 Dec to 7 Jan.

To join a Mona Lisa cruise divers should be at least PADI Advanced Open Water (or equivalent) certified with at least 50 logged dives.

Itineraries vary depending on weather conditions, at certain times of year it will not be possible to dive all areas of the national park. June, July, August months focus on north and central Komodo. During January and February the focus is on south and central Komodo. For the rest of the year it is possible to go all around the national park.

Dragon spotting is possible all year round from the ranger station on Rinca Island.

Transfer from LBJ airport to Mona Lisa. (For trips less than 3 nights an additional speedboat transfer of US$15 per way applies)
