Komodo liveaboard
SMY Mangguana Komodo liveaboard has a few things going for her. She only takes 8 guests so there are no crowds on the boat or in the water. You can join and leave the boat any day all year round. Mangguana caters well to snorkelers and island hoppers too.
Disadvantages are limited space on board for kitting up dive and camera gear and, like all phinisi style boats, there is no rear dive platform so all diving is done from the tender.

SMY Mangguana cabins
There are four spacious cabins for just 8 guests. Cabins are on the main deck and have large windows for lots of natural light and a sea view. They are teak lined for a warm, tropical feel.
All cabins have air conditioning and private showers with hot water.
The shaded upper deck is where meals are served. Food is to international standards with the emphasis being on local dishes, especially locally caught seafood.
Drinking water, soft drinks, tea and coffee and available self service at any time. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased on board.
All internationally required safety equipment is on board. The nearest recompression chamber to Labuan Bajo is Bali and air evaquation can be arranged if required.
Dive and travel insurance is mandatory on Mangguana cruises.
Mangguana liveaboard Schedule and Prices
Just like with the Mona Lisa you can take a domestic flight from Bali to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) and join Mangguana any day you like. You will be collected at the airport and transferred by car and speedboat to SMY Mangguana. Total journey time is about 90 minutes.
Price per diver: US$ 350 per person per night
Price per non diver: US$ 300 per person per night
NOTE: + 10% surcharge during Oct, Nov and 15 Dec to 7 Jan.
To join a SMY Mangguana cruise divers should be at least PADI Advanced Open Water (or equivalent) certified with at least 50 logged dives.
Itineraries vary depending on weather conditions, at certain times of year it will not be possible to dive all areas of the national park. June, July, August months focus on north and central Komodo. During January and February the focus is on south and central Komodo. For the rest of the year it is possible to go all around the national park.
Dragon spotting is possible all year round from the ranger station on Rinca Island.
