Nusa Lembongan Bali diving
Bali dive sites
The small island of Nusa Lembongan is located just north west of Nusa Penida which is on the south east coast of Bali. The island is often the base for divers diving at Nua Penida.
Lembongan has some excellent dive sites of it’s own however. Many of these dive sites have raging currents and thus attract big fish visitors.
The best months to dive Lembongan are April to October.
The Ceningan channel runs between the two islands. It has a very fast flow of water through it and can therefore only be dived at certain times. Ceningan Wall is visited by schools of barracuda, tuna and trevally. It is an awesome dive if you are an experienced diver.
Blue Corner is a roller coaster ride of a dive when the current whips you around the corner to a vertical wall at 30m. This dive site is a good place to see sharks and eagle rays as well as Napoleon wrasse. Blue corner is also one of the best places to see mola mola in season.
Mangrove is a more sedate dive with just a gentle drift where smaller marine life can be enjoyed. It is named after the mangrove trees that line the shore here.
Lembongan Bay is a pleasant dive for less experienced divers because it’s a shallow dive. It is also a good night dive and snorkeling spot.
