Black Manta liveaboard is a 32m long steel hulled beauty, one of the new breed of Indonesian liveaboards that have raised the bar in terms of quality and value for money.

Built in 2011 Black Manta is spacious and comfortable and offers exceptional service. You get warm towels after every dive, ice in your drinks and onboard massages. We have never had a negative comment from customers about this boat.

Komodo trips start in Labuan Bajo, Western Flores.

Raja Ampat trips start in Sorong, West Papua.

Prices include: Dive guide, tanks, weights & belt, all meals, fruits, towel, toiletries, land transfer from hotel/airport from destination start to boat.

Prices exclude: All flights and hotels. Equipment rental, Nitrox fills, masssage service. Alcohol & soft drinks. Park and port fees.

15 litre tanks are available on board at extra charge.

Some PADI Courses are available on board with advance booking. Please ask us if you are interested in doing a dive course.

Underwater cameras are available for rent on board.

Please note that due to fluctuating fuel prices Black Manta reserve the right to charge an extra US$50-US$150 per person per trip fuel surcharge if fuel prices rise significantly.


Black Manta Liveaboard Itineraries

Sample Itinerary: 6 days 5 nights Labuan Bajo – Komodo – Labuan Bajo

We recommend that you spend one night in south Bali (near Denpasar Airport) in case of flight delay.

Day 1: 8-10 am. Domestic flight from Bali to Labuan Bajo (approx 50 mins). We can help with flight bookings (approx US$240 return with Batavia Air). Transfer from Labuan Bajo airport to pier (approx 15 mins). Register at National Park office and pay park fee. Board Black Manta and enjoy a light lunch on board. Afternoon dives at central Komodo dive sites.

Day 2: 5 dives around North Komodo. Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, Tatawa Island, Makassar Reef (Manta Point), night dive.

Day 3: 4 dives around South Komodo. Manta Alley, Cannibal Rock, Crinoid Canyon, Torpedo Point, Yellow Wall of Texas.

Day 4: 4 dives around South Komodo including Pillarsteen and 3 sisters.

Day 5: 2/3 dives around North Komodo plus dragon walk on one of the islands.

Day 6: Check out after breakfast, transfer to Labuan Bajo airport and flight back to Bali.

Sample Itinerary: 7 days 6 nights Labuan Bajo – Komodo – Labuan Bajo

Day 1: Arrive LBJ in the morning, register in National Park office to pay park and harbour fee. Board Black Manta, then lunch.
Check dive at Pulau Sabayor Mini Wall, followed by sunset or night dive.

Day 2: (5 dives) North Komodo (water temp 26-28 deg); Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, Tatawa Island, Makassar Reef (Manta Point), optional night dive.

Day 3: (4 dives) South Komodo (water temp 22-26 deg); Manta Alley, Cannibal Rock, Crinoid Canyon, Torpedo Point, & Yellow wall.

Day 4: (4 dives) South Komodo, Padar Island; one of our favourite regions in the park with some stunning and diverse dive sites such as 3 Sisters and Pillarsteen.

Day 5: (4 dives) South Komodo, Nusa Kode; this uninhabited island in the south of the park boasts some of the most spectacular dive sites in Komodo.

Day 6: (2 dives) North Komodo, Batu Bolong, Bonsa rock. Afternoon trekking on one of the local Islands in search of Komodo dragons. Evening cruise back to Labuan Bajo.

Day 7: Check out after breakfast and transfer to LBJ airport.

 

Sample Itinerary: 8 days 7 nights Bali – Komodo – Labuan Bajo

Day 1: Black Manta departs Benoa harbour at 5pm and sails overnight to Sumbawa Island. (You can board the boat at any time of day, we will meet you at the airport).

Day 2: Diving Sumbawa and Satonda Island. After watching the bats fly at sunset we sail overnight to Sangeang Island.

Day 3: 4 dives around North Komodo

Day 4: 4 dives around North Komodo

Day 5: 4 dives around South Komodo

Day 6: 4 dives around South Komodo/Rinca Island.

Day 7: 4 dives around South Komodo/Rinca Island/Padar Island. Dragon Walk.

Day 8: Check out after breakfast, transfer to Labuan Bajo airport and flight back to Bali.

 

Sample itinerary: 7 days 6 nights Raja Ampat

Day 1: Arrive at Sorong airport where Black Manta staff will meet you for transfer to Black Manta. Once all guests are onboard set sail to Raja Ampat.

Day 2: (4 dives) Yanggefo Island, Citrus ridge, Mayhem ridge, Manta Sandy and night dive

Day 3:(4 dives) Mansuar Corner, Cape Kri, Sardine Reef and night dive

Day 4: (3 dives) Blue Magic, Mike Point, Mioskon, and then sail overnight to Misool.

Day 5: (4-5 dives) Boo Island, Boo Corner, Magic Mountain and No Contest.

Day 6: (2 dives) Nudi Rock, Tank Rock, and then sail back to Sorong Port. Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, have lunch, and rest and relaxation.

Day 7: (0 dives) Check out after breakfast and transfer to Sorong airport.

 

Sample Itinerary: 10 days 9 nights Ambon – Banda Sea – Raja Ampat

We recommend that you stay one night in Bali or Jakarta before flying to Ambon. We can help with domestic flight arrangements.

Day 1: Transfer from Ambon airport to Black Manta. if time allows there will be a check out dive in Ambon bay.

Day 2: Diving Ambon bay then sail to Nusa Laut.

Day 3-5: Diving Banda Island, Pulau Ai, Batu Kapal, Karang Hatta, Pulau Keraka, Gunung Api etc.

Day 6: Diving West Seram, Pulau Koon then sail towards Raja Ampat.

Day 7-10: Diving South Raja Ampat, Misool, Wai, Kri, Sorong.

Day 11: Check out after breakfast, transfer to Sorong airport for flight back to Bali or Jakarta.
